I try to find new places in Rzeszow to take photos for this blog. I realized that I levitate towards big, embellished or abstract doors. There are the perfect background for pictures! Interesting but settle. I'm all about perfection and symmetric doors are like a drug. I found these rusty beauties in an old flat building and fell in love. These are rare gems that are from before World War II and Communism. Unfortunately it's more difficult to find art-deco architecture nowadays because Polish cities are full of communist blocks of flats made of concrete. But if I do find beautiful doors, streets or anything else, I promise to share it with you! Have a great week, xoxo





Próbuję znaleść ciekawe miejsce w Rzeszowie do zdjęcia na bloga, Zauważyłam, że często przyciągają mnie do duże, zdobione bądź abstrakcyjne drzwi. To najlepsze tło! Ciekawe, a zarazem nie rzucające się aż tak w oczy. Mam obsesję nad perfekcyjnością i symetralne dzwi to jak narkotyk. Znalazłam te piękne drzwi w starej kamience i zakochałam się. To rzadkie skarby jeszcze sprzed II Wojny Światowej i komunizmu. Jak wszyscy wiemy bardzo trudno znaleźć architekturę w stylu art-deco bo w polskich miastach znajdują się bloki z czasów komunizmu, wybudywane z betonu. Jeżeli jednak znajdę więcej skarbów jak drzwi, uliczki czy cokolwiek innego, to obiecuję, że podzielę się tą zdobyczą z Wami! Miłego tygodnia, xoxo

I had 3 tests a day after these pictures. Before my friend took me out of my room I was studying like a bad-ass trying to remember math equations, the 60's culture revolution, and words like take shower or Tuesday in French. I was nervous that I would fail and have low grades. When my photographer came I said that I only have a limited amount of time to do this. In my mind I planned to go quite late so that lights would be on and there would be a cool vibe to the pictures - I thought 6 p.m is the best hour. I was wrong. At 6 p.m it was sunny, kids were running around and I started to sweat due to the fact that this will no go by plan. It was a blur looking back and I have no idea how I managed to handle everything. But shockingly I was able rides some go-karts, take the pictures and take all three of my exams. I received two A's and a B (curse you French!). I remember one moment where I said to myself "you did all you could have done and now just enjoy yourself" and I did. Moral of this story is to put effort into everything you do and afterwards just be in the moment with positive thoughts - or as Wiz Khalifa would say "work hard, play hard". Have a fantastic next week :)


Miałam 3 sprawdziany następnego dnia po tych zdjęciach. Zanim moja przyjaciółka wyciągneła mnie z pokoju na nie, uczyłam się jak opętana, próbójąc zapamiętać wzory skróconego mnożenia, Polskę za czasów Gomułki i wyrażenia, np. jak brać przysznic albo wtorek po francusku. Bardzo się martwiłam, że nie zdam i będę miała niskie stopnie. Kiedy już fotografka przyszła, powiedziałam, że mam ograniczony czas na zdjęcia. W głowie miałam zaplanowane, że wyjdziemy dosyć póżno aby światła były włączone dzięki temu zdjęcia wyjdą idealnie - myślałam, że 18 to idealna pora. Myliłam się. O osiemnastej było słonecznie, dzieci biegały wszędzie, a ja pociłam się z faktu, że to nie pójdzie po mojej myśli. Nie mogę przypomnieć sobie, co działo się póżniej albo jak byłam w stanie to wszystko ogarnąć lecz zdążyłam pojeżdzić go-kartami, zrobić zdjęcia oraz napisać wszystkie trzy sprawdziany następnego dnia. Dostałam dwie 5 oraz 4 (cholerny francuski!). Pamiętam jeden moment, gdzie sobie powiedziałam "zrobiłaś wszystko co mogłaś, teraz baw się" i tak zrobiłam. Morał tej hostoryjki jest taki, że trzeba dać z siebie wszystko, póżniej nie denerwować się i cieszyć się chwilą odpoczynku - albo jak Wiz Khalifa mówi "work hard, play hard". Życzę wszystkim pozytywnego tygodnia :)

Yes spring! And I decide to wear black. Sorry not sorry. I love this Japan-inspired T-shirt and when I wear it I just think how cool it would to travel to Asia and explore it. Then I think how much that would cost. I am very lucky and grateful for having the chance to visit many European countries and North America but I'm very driven to Eastern culture from the abstract cities to their lifestyle. I love Chinese food ( lo mien is life y'all) and I want to eat at a REAL Chinese restaurant and experiment all the wonderful flavors. Then we have the crazy street fashion from Tokyo and South Korea. I even listened to K-Pop once... It isn't that bad (even catchy)! When ever I watch my favorite Youtuber Jenn Im from Clothesencounters (watch here) and her trips to Asia ( in general around the world) all I want to do is jump on a plane a fly. Then, again, I remember that my bank account is empty. But a girl can dream.

Tak, już jest wiosna! I zdecydowałam założyć czerń. Nie mogłam z niej zrezygnować, a mam koszulkę inspirowaną Japonią. Kiedy ją mam na sobie ,to myślę jak cudownie byłoby zwiedzić Azję. Potem myślę, ile taki wyjazd kosztuje. Miałam takie szczęście, że mogłam zobaczyć Północną Amerykę i większości Europy, ale jestem zafascynowana kulturą azjacką. Od ich abstrakcyjnych miast, do stylu życia. Kocham chińskie jedzenie (lo mien- to jest życie) i pragnę bardzo zjeść w PRAWDZIWEJ chińskiej restauracji i eksperymentować z różnymi smakami. Jest, również, ta szalona moda uliczna z Tokyo i Południowej Korei. Nawet kiedyś słuchałam K-Pop.... Przyznam, że nie jest takie złe (nawet wpada w ucho). Kiedy oglądam filmiki Jenn Im z Clothesencounters (oglądnij tutaj) i jej podróże do Azji ,to chce wskoczyć do samolotu i polecieć. Znowu przypominam sobie o kosztach takiego wypadu. Dziewczyna może marzyć

Before I read any comments - yes, I cut my hair! But more on that in another post next week. Let's talk about food. I visited a new vegan restaurant and fell in love with a no meat lifestyle. When I first heard about vegan choices I thought that is was only for popular Instgram accounts. Then I took up a detox weekend (AKA a vegan weekend) since September and not only I feel better about my body but I found so many new recipes trying to replace normal foods. My favorite trick is using avocado butter instead of normal butter. All you need is an avocado, 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice, salt and viola - a little nuance to an everyday meal. Shockingly I am full after a plate of rice and vegies. I do love my chicken but a break from time to time is only positive change.

For over 100 years women thanks to feminists are able to wear pants/jeans/trousers. Through these years many cuts and washes have entered (and have been thrown out of) our closets. In almost very post I wore some type of pant. They are the easiest garment to style and every girl has a pair of jeans.
I couldn't pick only one "it-jeans" but these are my top three:






Blue jeans
As Lana Del Rey sung "blue jeans, white shirt..." - the most classic paring of all time. James Dean, Miranda Kerr and many, many more have worn this look for decades and are always classy. These trusty Zara jeans have been in my closet for about 2 years and with minor flaws still look fantastic with everything! I'm very fond of the high waist which gives me a Marilyn Monroe vibe from "The Misfits".
Jak Lana Del Rey śpiewała "Blue jeans, white shirt..." - czyli najbardziej klasyczne zestawienie. James Dean, Miranda Kerr i wiele innych przez dekady ubierali się w taki sposób i zawsze wyglądali klasycznie. Ta zaufana para dżinsów jest z Zary - mam je od 2 lat i oprócz małych znaków, zniszczeń, ciągle wyglądają swietnie z czymkolwiek. Uwielbiam w nich wysoki stan - a'la Marilyn Monroe w "The Misfits".


Black trousers
I'm not sure if trousers are everyone's cup of tea but think black skinnes, just black pants! But these pants started there life between the crazy 1920's-1930's thanks to Mademoiselle Coco Chanel. Just like blue jeans everything matches with these bad boys from a models' all black outfit to a black tie event at the Met Gala. Snatch these classic at my local Tj Maxx and they make me fell put together what ever I wear!


Boyfriends Jeans
The new 'It' jeans - I really love them and I think this jeans will hang up in my closet longer than for a couple of seasons. It's a fun yet subtle statement! When a wear a white blouse to them I feel very Parisian and then a pairing an intricate T-shirt makes it girls-night-in appropriate. The best part about the boyfriend jean is that you don't really need a boyfriend!

I finally wrote all of my exams and can start blogging again! Today I want to write about a trend that has been "ïn" for a couple of seasons which is sinple, futuristic sport - from cool  Alexander Wang (shorts, tops) to up-tight, elegant Chanel (one word: sneakers). Even though I'm in love anything vintage, withs bows or pink I have to accept the future full of straight cuts and strong colors. At first I wasn't a fanatic but lately I love the fact, that I can wear my Nikes to a skirt and look absolutely morden at the same time girly.

 W końcu skończyły się egzaminy i mogę znowu blogować! Dzisiaj chcę popisać o trendzie, które jest "in" od kilku sezonów czyli futurystyczne, prosty sportowy styl - od chill out-owego Aleksander Wang (szorty, topy) do eleganckiego Chanel (jedno słowo: tenisówki). Chociaż moje serce należy do cokolwiek vintage, z kokardką albo różowe muszę się pogodzić z tym, że przyszłość będzie pełen prostych krojów i jaskrawych kolorów. Na początku nie byłam fanką tego, ale lubię mieć wybór aby założyć swoje buty Nike do spódnicy i wciąż wyglądać kobieco.

It's magical how fashion can be so divergent from it's self in a short period of time (remember 2004 neck- braces and bell bottom-low waisted jeans? Yeah, I don't want to either).   
Even though we are leaving already left the preppy, ruffled and John Galliano's Dior glamour decade, I think the new, simple silhouette of 2014 will be postively suprising.

Moim zdanie to jest magiczne jak moda może być od siebie rozbieżna w krótkim czasie (pamiętacie gumki jako naszyjnik i dżinsy z niskim stanem? Właśnie, też nie chcę pamiętać).
Pomimo, że  odchodzimy odeszliśmy od dekady z kokardami, plisami i John Galliano w Dior, myślę, że nowa, prosta sylwetka 2014 roku będzie pozytywnie zaskakała.
